Fun Dog Show with Pooch Paws!

I was excited to be invited to photograph a Fun Dog Show at the start of June, and I eagerly accepted the opportunity.

I first met Katey when I brought our St Bernard, Lottie, to her for a training course. Lottie is nearly 8 years old, and the progress we made with Katey was remarkable; the transformation in just a few months was astounding.

Therefore, when Katey asked if I would like to attend her dog show and sponsor one of the events, I didn't hesitate to accept.

Katey established Pooch Paws Dog Training Club in 2005 and to celebrate 20 fabulous years she held a fun dog show in Belton with a supporting cast of local businesses. The day started off with free health checks from Three Rivers Vetenery Group followed by a free loose lead walking training workshop available to all dogs & their owners that wanted to take part.

These are some of my favourite images from the free lead walking training session. In just a short amount of time these dogs were showing off their new skills and they were doing such a good job.

Up next was the fun dog show with a whopping 8 categories and a Best In Show round.

This is a slideshow of some of the winners from the day. Each owner and dog did amazingly well.. The day was ever so warm and the dog show was a good 3 hours long. All of the winners stayed for the Best In Show at the end, so for some it was very long.

Katey had goody bags for all of the winners including treats from some of the vendors and a lovely rosette!
