Daisy In The Daffodils

Hey Daisy!
Hey Daisy!

The Daffodils are the first of the seasonal flowers to bloom and mark the start of Spring. They symbolise new beginnings and rebirth after winter. I always get so excited when I see them as it means we will soon be back out and about photographing your beautiful families in these gorgeous flowers.

Now, Daisy is my youngest niece (well, she is for now until Baby Moyse Number 8 is born later this year) and I borrowed her and her Daddy Steven to go to Normanston Park in Lowestoft and take advantage of the Daffodils.

Now, Daisy and I have a love/hate relationship!!! I love her to bits and she tolerates my existence, well, as much as any headstrong 2 year old does! She took a little while to warm up to me so we played with her ball and let her lead what we were doing until she would look my way.

Daisy did not want to pose for photos, she didn't want her crazy Auntie Tasha and her stupid camera in her face while she is having a good time playing at the park with her Daddy! She wouldn't even look at me for ages... so I spent that time trying to find the best place to place her for the images.

I have wanted to photograph in this location for so long. A couple of years ago I photographed my friend and her children and gorgeous dog at the top of Normanston Park. As you can see in a lot of the images of Daisy there is a fence to the right of her and you can see the cars travelling along the main road. There is a trail of Daffodils all the way along the side of the park following the road that seems to go on forever! I could just see my subject sitting there with the Daffodils in front of them and have them follow them all the way to the background.

Once we moved to the top of the park, Daisy had really opened up and was more than happy to play and get involved. Daisy is just 2 years old, even though she is a dinky tot, she is solid and loves to run around and play. She ran around in the flowers with her Daddy and played Hide & Seek, I kind of think she cheated but who am I to judge!

My sessions are laid back and very relaxed, so don't worry about children who don't want to sit and pose. Family portrait sittings are available all year round in a variety of locations across East Anglia.
