Bluebells only bloom for around a month and a half and are a protected species. This means that you are not allowed to pick them.. ever wondered why you never see them on sale in the supermarket? That's why! We have to be very careful when shooting around them so we use pathways and areas where they aren't blooming.
I have always used the same handful of places for the sittings & they have been a hit year affter year. I started driving in August 2023 so I have been able to go out and scout other locations and have found some beautiful places. This year I have decided to stick to just one location which is The Bluebell Woods in Gorleston.
Here are some top tips for Bluebell Minis!
What should we wear? Firstly, I would suggest wearing something that you don't mind getting dirty! There's a good chance that you will be sitting on the floor, I will bring a blanket but I want to make sure that you don't get dirty. It is always best to stay away from logos or character prints with young children. Plain clothes or simple patterns are always best. You can co-ordinate your party so everyone is wearing the same pallette of colours, or same pattern for the girls etc.
Are you doing any more dates? At the moment I am only planning on doing one date, but I am happy to add further dates
We have a large family, can we get more time or images? The basic mini sitting package is for 3 images, but you can always upgrade once you see your final images. If you would like more time I suggest you book 2 back to back sessions or a full family portrait session.
