I specialise in Family in the Box photography, a playful studio photoshoot that captures real personality, big smiles and all the little expressions that make your child them. These sessions are relaxed, full of energy and designed for kids to enjoy, not endure.
Families regularly visit my Lowestoft studio from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston, Beccles and across Suffolk and Norfolk for these sessions.
I’m currently the only photographer in the region offering dedicated Family in the Box sessions, which means you’re getting something a bit different, and a lot of fun.
What is Family in the Box Photography?
Family in the Box photography is a fun studio photoshoot where children sit, play and interact inside a simple white box. It sounds odd until you see it, then it makes complete sense.
The box keeps everything clean and uncluttered, which means all the focus is on your child. Their expressions, their personality, their little quirks and big reactions. No awkward posing, no pressure to smile on cue. Just lots of chatting, giggling and being themselves.
These sessions are especially popular for siblings, milestones and children who don’t love being told what to do. The box does the hard work. The fun happens naturally.
Why these sessions are a bit different
I love non traditional portraits and I’m very much not about stiff, stand still and say cheese photography.
Family in the Box sessions are relaxed, energetic and designed around kids, not the other way round. I guide them gently, keep things light and let their personality lead. According to my daughter Grace, I talk a lot and get very excited during shoots. She’s not wrong.
I’m currently the only photographer in the region offering dedicated Family in the Box sessions, which means you’re getting something a little different and a lot more fun than the usual studio experience.

A bit about me
Hi, I’m Natasha. I’m a family photographer based in Lowestoft by the sea, yes the most easterly point in England. I live here with my husband Steve and our two daughters, Rhianna and Grace.
I come from a big family, so photographing children has always felt natural to me. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me curled up with a book, binge watching a good series, or wearing questionable novelty earrings. I’m also a big Queen fan and will absolutely sing along.
When I’m photographing families, I guide you through everything and keep things relaxed and fun. If you’re after perfectly posed, silent children, I might not be the photographer for you. But if you want personality filled images and a session your kids actually enjoy, you’ll fit right in here.

Why should I book a photo session with you?
Does this sound familiar?
You’ve taken loads of photos on your phone, but they never quite capture the moments that make your heart do that little flip.
You’ve thought about booking a family photo session, but the idea of coordinating outfits, getting everyone out the door and hoping your children will sit still feels like a lot. And then there’s the question of what you actually do with the photos afterwards.
I get it.
You don’t just want pictures. You want moments captured properly. The giggles, the messy curls, the way your baby looks at you like you are their whole world. All the little things that change before you even realise they’re gone.
Time moves quickly, especially with children. What feels ordinary now is often the stuff you wish you could go back to later.
The good news is, you don’t need perfect behaviour or perfectly planned outfits. You just need to show up.
My sessions are relaxed, fun and child led. I get involved, I chat, I play, I roll around on the floor and if we are at the beach there is a very good chance someone will get wet. Probably me first.
I guide you gently rather than telling you exactly what to do, so it never feels awkward or forced. The aim is for everyone to enjoy themselves and forget about the camera, because that’s when the best images happen.
I truly believe photographs deserve to be seen, not just stored on a phone. Images on your walls tell your children they are loved, valued and important. They grow up seeing that pride every day.
I get far too excited when things look good. I jump about, I get loud and I will absolutely tell you when something is gorgeous. I love what I do and I care deeply about creating photographs you will still love years from now.
With years of experience photographing families, my goal is simple. To make the experience easy, enjoyable and to give you beautiful, high quality images that feel like your family and bring a smile every time you walk past them.
